Wood Finishes
Wood Finishes
Faux: (pronounced, "foe") - From the French, "False or Fake".
Wood Finishes
A Faux (False) Finish can be applied to any surface to beautify and bring about the illusion of a true pattern that can be found in nature; such as copying marble, stone, wood, animal skin/shell, clouds and other natural occurrences like patina, rust, blacken metal or verdigris.
Faux Finishes can be applied to any surface; such as walls, ceilings, floors, moldings, doors, cabinets, furniture and furnishings.
No matter what the surface, as long as preparation is made to the surface (may it be metal, plastic, stone, wood, plaster; or else, a pre-painted surface), there is a faux application that can fit the needs of the suitor.
